AquaProof* is a unique triple layer material out of two layers of EPDM rubber and one middle layer of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene = TEFLON ® ).

AquaProof layers

Due to the high tensile strength of the EPDM rubber-layers the material is resistant against mechanical impacts and keeps the PTFE layer intact.
The EPDM layers of AquaProof are cured single-ply synthetic rubber membranes made of ethylene- propylene-diene terpolymer.
The PTFE layer is the ultimate barrier against all chemical, enzymatic and bacteriological attacks and resists against all anaerobic and aerobic processes which limiting the lifetime of all non-fluoropolymers in the Middle East to about 5 years.

The combination of EPDM with the everlasting PTFE is the unique AquaProof and this material is:

  • UV stabile
  • resisting against all acids and lye’s, especially also against brines
  • stabile against all kind of enzymatic reactions of micro-organisms
  • an antifouling material
  • watertight
  • airtight
  • barrier for water, oil, petrol, gasoline etc.

and perfectly suitable as:

  • Golf Course lake liners
  • Recreational Pond liners
  • Aquaculture Pond liners
  • Canal Liners
  • Potable Water Reservoir liners
  • Re-use Pond liners
  • Secondary Containment
  • Roof liner
  • etc.
